The long-awaited second Kumamoto Castle special open has begun!

Prefectural people who love Kumamoto Castle! Kumamoto Castle fans all over the country! Everyone who is planning to become a fan! Thank you for your patience. The second special release of Kumamoto Castle, which had been postponed, has finally started on June 6st (Monday). We will send the latest information from the field to our customers, "I want to go, but is corona countermeasures all right?" "How is it different from the first release?"

First of all, regarding corona measures, we are currently limiting the number of people. Only 1 people can enter in one hour. Since it is a numbered ticket system (time system), it is a system where you first get a numbered ticket and then buy an admission ticket.

Also, only those who live in Kumamoto Prefecture until June XNUMX (Thursday) are eligible. Everyone who wants to see the present Kumamoto Castle earlier than anyone as a citizen of Kumamoto, now is a chance! If you are outside Kumamoto, please wait a little longer.

If you can't wait, the Kumamoto Castle Hospitality Warlords will guide you through the video from the URL below, so please take a look. You can enjoy the feeling of going to Kumamoto Castle at home. It is also recommended for preparation and review of those who actually go!

Numbered tickets are distributed at three locations in front of the castle Saien, Ninomaru ticket office, and the shuttle bus stop. It will be distributed from 3 hour before the admission time. (Example: Numbered tickets that can be entered from 1:10 to 00:11 will be distributed from 00:9)

Numbered tickets, tickets and pamphlets look like this.

A large lantern is a landmark at the exciting ticket sales office that sells tickets.

Now, the big difference from the first special release is that the special tour passage (aerial corridor) was completed. With a passage of about XNUMX to XNUMX meters above ground and a total length of XNUMX meters, you can safely observe the damage situation and restoration work of Kumamoto Castle from a different perspective.

[Aerial corridor] 5-7m above ground, 350m in length, special tour passage

If you walk along the passage, you will feel the pleasant scent of wood even through a mask. When I was looking at the stone walls, the guards told me the difference between the stone walls of the Kato period and the Hosokawa period. that? Why are the guards so knowledgeable? I wondered, but it seems that the security, guide, and hospitality work of the guards at Kumamoto Castle are three things. I felt kind of warm.

You can see the damage situation and restoration work of Kumamoto Castle up close.

I was able to enjoy Ishigaki and Honmaru of Kumamoto Castle, which is also called the warrior return, from an unprecedented perspective.

You can rest assured that we have a solid barrier-free system such as slopes and elevators.

Kumamoto Castle Honmaru 4 years after the earthquake. It was still being repaired. The magnitude of the damage caused by the Kumamoto earthquake, the year and year of the four years of recovery, and the Honmaru palace that is a masterpiece, no matter how many times you look at it, you will feel various things. In my case, when I saw Kumamoto Castle, which was revived, I was encouraged to say "I must do my best!"

There is also a rest area in the square in front of the castle tower.
There is also the Kamon crest of the Kato family, who built Kumamoto Castle, and you can feel the main team! ?

Since I visited on weekdays this time, I traveled back and forth on the South route, but on Sundays and holidays, I can also go on the North route (first open route). (See map below)

There are Jyosaien and Ninomaru parking lots in the parking lot, but I personally want you to take a closer look at Jyosaien (details will be announced later), so this is recommended!

Excerpt from the pamphlet you can get when purchasing tickets

"Dark passage" that could not be seen in the first special release

Finally, in the spring of 2021, the castle tower will be fully restored, and internal disclosure will begin! I'm looking forward to it now.
